1God1Fury prieš 2 mėnesius Slaygar is very good and competent villain. Tactical and always thinks ahead. This is huge step up compare to previous season 1 villain who I couldn't take serious after his so many failures and acting like poor clown of a villain. Black Raven is also pretty decent secondary villain, makes me wish we had more show with 2 independent villains at same time. Makes shows have more stakes and intense.

RedFalconGamer prieš 1 metus (redaguota) Plot lie, actually. In none of the books did Redwall ever have a standing army, at all. They make do with a rag-tag militia and bands of combat-capable tribes from around Mossflower Woods, like the GUOSIM. Against the typical vermin threat of wandering bands of essentially bandits and raiders, that, combined with the Abbey's strong walls, is generally plenty of defense. The closest thing that the World of Redwall has to a standing army is the Badger Lords and Hares of the Long Patrol from Salamandastron, the mountain fortress that guards the western coast of Mossflower Country against invasion by Searats and Corsairs. In fact, the only reason Cluny ever got the chance to reach Redwall was that he landed well north of Salamandastron and wandered, pillaging in the wilder lands north of Mossflower before eventually moving south and finding Redwall as his next target. If he'd tried to fight his way through whoever the current Lord (or Lady) of Salamandastron was, and his (or her) fighting hares, he'd never have made it anywhere near Redwall. ....unless this was one of those uncommon occasions where the Long Patrol garrison at Salamandastron was really small in number. The Long Patrol in it's stronger iterations could've massacred Cluny's army so badly it would be generous to call it a battle, but it's weakest iterations would've been completely overrun by Cluny through sheer numbers. On average... strong enough to match Cluny's army in the open field, and more than enough to claim a decisive victory in a defensive siege of the mountain, or Redwall. Edit: Oh, and on that note of the Long Patrol, given that it's the only military force in the series organized enough to HAVE regiments, that means that Basil Stag Hare must be a veteran of the Long Patrol itself, retired to living in the gentler country of Mossflower Woods... only to get caught up in two successive crises. Poor guy, having his retirement from all that battling on the coast so thoroughly interrupted...

JediMaster362 prieš 3 metus You also have to take into consideration that there hasn't been any conflict between Redwallers and any invaders ever since the war against Cluny the Scourge. Granted, it might have been an even longer time from when Martin founded the order, but, when Cluny laid siege to RedWall Abbey, I get the feeling that was the very first time they have been in a period of war. Now, back to the point at hand, which is the fact that the defenders have not seen war since the siege by Cluny. 8 years is a longo time of peacetime. After a while, it can be difficult to get into the best shape to defend your territory, especially if war is not all that common. Seems to me like Cluny might have started a trend of some sort. I notice that ever since he attempted (and nearly succeeded) in taking command of the Abbey, other villains have their plans to follow suit. My question is, why do so many villains try to take over RedWall Abbey? I never hear of their motives, even Cluny's. Is that discussed in the books? Is RedWall Abbey some sort of location where those who have control of it have some significance in Mossflower Woods

Okay I guess they had eight years of peace but that's the reason for getting rid of their standing army after what happened in season one I would think they would want to keep one on? The defense that kept Clooney at Bay for an entire season is now gone when the damn crows try to invade?

StoneTitan prieš 2 metus This show could easily have been so much better, it's sad they make some good decission yet don't follow up on them, instead deliver cases of character stupidity. Take the Birds getting the maps, great idea to get a map to more birds and have they search wider... Episodes later... why are all these birds flying together? whats the point of making so many maps if you're flying together... It's rather sad the show got several similar situations.
