Before Qing dynasty,only Han people were viewed as true Chinese(more accurate explanation should be that before the idea of 中华民族 was created,there is no modern-defined China.Han people in most of history own a country of Han,and they didn't share the same country with Mongolian,Tibetan,Korean Chinese .etc).The early slogan of Republic of China was actually "to expel the Tatar barbarians, to revive Zhonghua"Namely,Man people at this time were still viewed as barbarians,not a race as equal as Han.You could see this greater concept of Zhonghua as a whole is pretty new. Their innovations and invention were astonishingly creative and economically productive long before other countries had even begun to think in terms of this type of progress. Their morels and spiritual ideals based upon , ancestry and family , seems to have created a balance or outlook on life not achieved by other means .
