Myrk Fælinn prieš 1 metus (redaguota) This movie had worked if it had more ancient show and tell. It was about being hunted after mainly, and there is some character development, but not enough I think. But the show of how brute these viking men are made sense. Normally, Vikings were good at establishing a decent household where the woman is given more rights, but only within the family itself. If the head of the family, likely the man got hurt by his wife, he'd be unforgiving maybe. Every free man or woman who commited a crime will get punished badly. Vikings had rules, they had boundaries. General peeps were the folc, the karls, then you have the jarls/earls, the slaves the thralls, and kings and queens. There had to be a good reason for a murder within a Viking group. Some vikings who betrayed their people had to flee with their family or they all got killed. That or vengeance if one of them dies, but the others live with anguish. Children were considered small grownups so they lived harsh lives and saw deaths early on, raised to not feel any form of shame unless their parents told them it was wrong (basic morals on a very small scale). There is a lot about Vikings. But in case you didn't know either, women were allowed to fight along as shield maidens. To a man, to a woman, having children was very important. The reason why Vikings are portrayed as such monsters is just because the winners, the English, had written it as such. Yet without what happened, we didn't have countries like Ireland or Scotland today. Basically, watch Vikings the show. It's almost fully accurate to the events if you are that interested.

Andrew Wazagow prieš 1 metus From the beginning it looks bad . The cart is a modern cart ( wheels ) , the horse's harness is also excellent ( could be of use today and nobody would see anything strange about it ) but the hut is extremely primitive , and the behaving of a boy suspicially wild and artificially aggressive. The garb of people doesn't make sens as well. Also the haircut. Dialogs are too modern (sarcastic response from son to his way too old father - who is also too old for having his second , younger son. Forcing captives to walk faster , or not to stop , I would have thought , that it was accomplished by using a club , and not by pulling or pushing them ( it's bad cinematics ). Later on , it looks more and more like a movie by students of some university's film department , so amateurish and theatrical. Notwithstanding that , it should be made better. For instance the nature , the landscape - is magnificent , but the cameraman ( probably only one ) is not good. The director of the movie is a joker. He winks to us , and uses logs , that were obviously cut with a saw and left in the middle of nowhere . That's tasty. The escapers yell as loud as possible ... ....for the drama of it all. And , of course , nobody is intelligent enough to go in circle , or to make any kind of weapon ( a stone tight tu a stick is a very efficient one , but even e club , or a sharp ended stick which could be used like a spear is better than just hands, and there ara several people - that is a force in itself ), actually to behave more like people. The story though is actually very probable , though , however , from what I have read about berserkers was , that they were simply military man , famous for making themselves madmen , before the battle ( using drugs for that purpose , between the other means ). Something similar actually to Americans in Vietnam or Irak , or Russians in Afghanistan or Ukraine . Polish militia during "Martial law" while "fighting" civilians , supposedly also were using some kind of drugs. It's the nature of savagery - not to be a human. Only ....why they used here the Beatles' "Yeah , Yeah , yeah ! " in one scene ? ( At least they should have it in full , like : " he kills you , yeah, yeah, yeah !......." ) . And the knife used to cut off the heart has that perfect bevel that could be made only in mass production of good modern kitchen knifes , and guards on wrists have those tiny metal rings to protect the leather from tearing - and the most precious arrow is left stuck in the trunk , enough of that !! Well , the movie is sooo... bad - that is almost good !
